Our founder and CEO Gareth Gumbley talks about why he started Frollo
By Gareth Gumbley
Money is hard work. I know for my family growing up we had many struggles and a huge amount of stress and anxiety about making the mortgage payment and buying groceries. We developed many side hustles to get by, as well as an old fashioned hard look at where we spent our money. As many of you know running a home or a business is hard work and creating Frollo has certainly not been a smooth ride!
It took nearly ten years to get Frollo up and humming and we are only just starting to make an impact. I really wanted to help people and have an impact on lots of lives. My career in finance and technology and my back story made me settle on helping people to feel good about money. I don’t mean feel good as in lay in a bath of champagne, but feel good so you can focus on the more important areas of your life like family, health and community.
“I’m here today because of my friends, family, the Frollo team, our clients and the many cheerleaders we have had along the way.”
But I’m here today because of my friends, family, the Frollo team, our clients and the many cheerleaders we have had along the way. They lift me up when I really need it, providing encouragement, money and sometimes just an ear and a willingness to listen. And thats what Frollo is all about, people helping each other out in life.
I’ve seen first hand it is possible to feel good about money. It’s not easy and life trips us up often, but together we can step ahead.
Thank you for reading my story.
